How to Update Your Playroom With This Easy DIY Scallop Wall

I was in such a rut when it came to deciding Juliet’s playroom. I didn’t know if I wanted to go with wallpaper on the walls or paint or something entirely different! After months of no progress I finely got so frustrated with myself, I drove to Lowe’s to buy paint. I mulled over a couple of colors in the store and finally pulled the trigger on this subdued pink, Naked Clay by Valspar. Not thinking twice, I got to work and I’m so excited I did! Happy it turned out so sweet and special for our little JJ!

I used this tutorial from Bre Purposed! From start to finish, it took about 2 hours. Not bad and super easy for a beginner like me to accomplish. The paint color I used is Naked Clay by Valspar.

As for the decor, I rummaged around the house and pulled some things together and also did scrounge around homegoods to see if I could find something special to add, too. Turns out, I found a very basic white frame there for a great price. Woohoo! 😂 I’ll list all the other linkable items below.

  • SHE IS MAGIC THAT ONE sign found HERE.

  • All frames I already had or bought at home goods.

  • Artwork in frames I had or bought at flee markets.

  • The picture of JJ in the white frame I took and printed through Costco photo online! So much more economical, rather than Walmart photo.

  • Tennis racket I thrifted and added fabric to with mod podge and added the J to with yarn.

  • The brass swan I thrifted.

  • Bow chairs can be found HERE.

  • White table I already had, but similar one HERE.

  • Gathre ABC mat found HERE.

  • Floor Rug found HERE.

  • Plastic play slide found HERE. (I painted the roof! Easy upcycle!)

  • Small wicker purse found HERE.

  • Wooden blocks found HERE.

  • Quilt and pillows I can’t link, sorry!

  • Cuddle & Kind dolls found HERE and HERE.

  • Sheets found HERE.

  • Daybed found HERE.

It was so fun getting to do this DIY scallop wall for Juliet’s playroom. I’m so happy I finally just took the plunge and did it! And the nice thing about paint is that if I ever want to change it, i’ll just repaint! Hope you enjoy!
