How I Made This DIY Frame TV

I love the look of the Frame TV but hated the price. I’m sure most can relate! 😏 I was looking for a cheaper alternative and I stumbled upon this blog post by blog.jennasuedesign.com. I persuaded my husband Ryan, to get his hands dirty and help me build this DIY frame for our tv. This super easy and quick DIY really elevates the tv and I’m SO happy I purchased this tv and made the frame for hundreds of dollars cheaper! I’ll call that a win!

We followed Jenna’s tutorial exactly. I will link it HERE again. You would never know that this tv wasn’t a “frame tv.” That’s what I love about it. We ended up buying the Samsung 50-inch Class Crystal UHD TU-8000 Series. This tv offers an “ambient mode” setting where you can upload your own art and display for an unlimited amount of time on screen. I was just telling Ryan the other day how happy I am with the tv. If you are looking around for a new tv, this one is great!

We also purchased a tv mount that was super thin, that hugged the wall, making the tv really look like art once the ambient mode setting was activated. That was another find of Jenna’s. Find the link HERE for the tv mount.

We used this pre-stain and color stain for the color of the frame. Since we aren’t going to be touching the tv a lot, I didn’t seal it with anything. It has held up fine so far! 😉

This project was so easy and simple to do, and we are SO glad we did it! Take a leap and try it out. Let me know if you do!
